Synopsis
Cube was an experimentation in the conversion of brain waves into sound utterances. The device allows a user to plug themselves in, through an Electronic Encelophogarm (EEG) and produce sounds just on the verge of intelligible speech. The largely vowel type sounds produced also hover near to the feeling of music. Pitch is produced by the intensity of the brain wave, while the vowel sound corresponds with the strongest wave in the series.
Cube records the volumetrics produced by the brain onto the audio track of a VCR tape, for a later playback during periods of non-use.
